Mother – What does it mean?

386

My mother is one of the best people in my life.  Nothing in the world can compare with the true love of my mother.  On this special day – Mother’s day, I want to express some of my feelings about my mother through a very sweet word “MOTHER”.  MOTHER means:

M is for the million things she gave me.

From birth to maturity, I have received so many things from my mother.  She always takes care of me from meals to slumbers. She carried me in her womb and gave birth in pain so that I can present in the world.  She was the first person, whose face I could recall in my mind, to come whenever I faced difficulties in life.  She gives me a lot of good advice to solve the problem. I want to say ‘‘I love you, Mom’’.  For me, my mother is the most perfect woman in my life.  She teaches me many things in my life.  She is the first teacher teaching me the lessons to be a good human.  Thanks to her lesson, I know how to live a mature life and know how to take responsibility.

Mother, a small love of her is greater than the sea, more majestic than hills and mountains.  MOTHER is the first word that I have spoken or called with the warm sound.  It makes me immersed in love and beautiful of memories.  Mother, when I was born, you wrapped me in your loving arms.  Mother, how many times you have cried silently when you missed me.  How can I say all the love that my mother has given to me?  I do not know how to pay her back, so I just keep her in my prayers, try to live a good life and wish she is always healthy and joyful.

O means only that she is growing old.

What makes my mother growing old?  Is it time?  Yes, time is a part making my mother growing old, but rather, preoccupations and worries about children cause my mother to grow old more quickly.  She is growing old because of staying up late and getting up early to prepare the meals for me.  She is getting old because of working hard to make money to provide me a better education and more prosperous living conditions.  She is growing old, but she does not care about it because she loves me.

T means for tears she shed to save me.

My mother has shed tears for me in all the moments of my life.  For example, when I am silly, when I am sick as well as when I am successful.  She has silently stayed up all night to care for me.  One day when I made a decision to enter the consecrated life, she cried in silence because she was afraid that I would face difficulties in religious life.  Another times, when I graduated from the university and became a teacher, she cried because of joy and happiness.  Especially, she also cried when I had made the perpetual vows in the Lovers of the Holy Cross Congregation of Thu Duc.  All the tears that she has shed, there are the tears of love, joy, hope, and even anxiety.

H is for the heart of purest gold.

It is true when Lucien Bersot says that: “There are many beautiful wonders in the world, but the heart of the mother is the most beautiful”.  It is the heart of loving, caring and scarifying for her own children. My mother gives me all her life when carrying me in her womb and giving birth in pain, and then crying in my sorrows and joys, then supporting me in the consecrated life with her prayers and good advices.

My mother loved me and her children unconditionally, a love unmatched in the heart of a mother for her children.  Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn.  Hundreds of beers in the purple clover.  Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn.  But only a mother in the wide world over, her heart is of purest gold.

E is for her eyes, with love-light kindness.

When talking about the eyes, I immediately think of my mother’s eyes.  I love her eyes which give me the joys of life.  Now these eyes are no longer as bright as before because of age and anxieties of life, but the eyes of love and light of kindness are still remained.  When I was a child, my mother’s eyes kept me from falling and prevented me from getting in dangers.  When I was sick, my mother’ eyes looked sad and worried.  Many times when I was admittedly disobedient and naughty, I had made those eyes miserable, but those eyes also were happy when I had done the good.

I completely believe that the loving eyes of my mother will follow me all my life.  I promise I will try my best to live a good life so that her eyes will always be happy.

R means right and right she always will be.

I can say that my mother is always right.  Why I can say this?  She takes care of me with all her love, with all her mind and with all her strength.  Furthermore, every thought and decision she has done with love. Besides love, we need to know that mother has more experiences than us.  It is better to talk with her so that we can make the best decisions.  My mother is always right because she respects my opinions and never oppresses any thing on my important decisions.  She just gives a lot of useful advice.

She also respects my freedom, even sometimes my decision doesn’t like what she wants but she respects and accompanies me.

On Mother’s day, everyone in the world sets aside a day to do what we should do for our moms, telling them that we love them and that love will never change.  Even though sometimes we yell at our moms and say “you’re the worst mom in the world”, but from the bottom of our heart, we know that that is wrong. That is what the Mother’s day is for. Love your Mom day in and day out because of the love of Mother is endless.
